Is this ignorance? A sloppy step? Or just a courtroom tactic? Regardless of the chosen wording, the answer might hide deeper inside the nature of a complex bureaucratic mechanism — built like a machine, a productive executor of functions engineered by men.

At times, such a mindless apparatus demands expertise in advanced mechanics — to use it, test it, diagnose its faults. To make it work — and worth the effort. If not maintained well — it may become unsafe for the other clients it is supposed to serve.

Such a machine is meant to run at full throttle even when its inner cogs or software start to fail. Dangerously inert and, in fact, not even meant to be stopped at all — you service it at a slowed-down pace.

Highly effective when tuned the right way, but devastating to its vulnerable users if handled without proper care. Beneath the industrial semantics hides a problematic administrative beast.

This mechatronic animal runs way too hot when outdated firmware operates its hardware. The system is now executing an endless loop of mindless code. It is attempting to reverse an irreversible and broken process while also hijacking energy and resources from its own core functions.

Reduced to a number within a process that had lost sight of being human, he was left with no other choice but to become a procedural animal himself — invoking the spirit of the Constitution where it had been overshadowed by the relentless algorithms of self-justification.

A social welfare agency is the beast we are studying here. It fails to understand that no mathematically perfect balance between financial and biological resources will ever serve a human purpose.

Designed by people to serve their own kin: if the purpose is not met, upgrade the system. No place for the statisfaction of broken robots.

A human becomes diagnostic software.

Update the firmware.

Reboot the system.
